"You and me, we're Family." -tobyMac, City on our Knees
Spiritual Adoption is something that comes with Salvation. In that case God is adopting you as his, making every other person saved a brother or sister, in which is refered to in the bible alot. At my Church, in the Youth, we call each other "Bro" and "Sis" occasionally. Some take this lightly. Others see it as just being God's. But the full effect of it need be that each and every one of us are brother and sister and God is the father of us all. That means we live in his house, go by his rules, and we are his family. But that also means that we are to treat one another as brother and sister, attempt to add others to the family, and be able to depend upon others and let them depend upon us.
